OK, just who’s the liar?

Pinocchio Obama

As time goes by, I find it just becomes a little harder to bite my tongue over what Barack Obama is doing to this country and it’s citizens. (Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn what happens to the illegals as long as they get the Hell out of my country.)  So let’s examine some of Barack’s promises, shall we?

I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”  Barack Obama, 12 September 2008 campaign speech

If your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime.” Barack Obama, 24 February 2009

You’ll note he even repeated himself, just so we would hear what he had to say. Not one single dime, he said.  And note when he said it, on 24 February 2009.

How many of you are aware of The Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 (CHIPRA, Public Law 111–3)?  Surely you know of it.  You see, Barry signed that act into law on February 4, 2009, almost three weeks before repeating how we would not see taxes raised by one single dime.  Had Barry forgotten by 24 February he had already signed an act into law raising the federal excise tax on tobacco by one hundred, fifty-six percent?  What happened to not one single dime, Mr Obama?  Did you lie to us?

The Obamacare Medical Prosthetics and Devices Tax took effect in January of 2010, raising the price of all medical prosthetic devices, such as pacemakers and artificial limbs. Consumers of these devices will end up paying more for these life-saving items.  Once again I ask, Mr. Obama, did you lie to us?

On 1 July 2010, the Tax on Indoor Tanning Services took effect.  This was a provision of Obamacare that will impose a new ten percent tax on anyone using an indoor tanning salon.  I’m starting to get the impression Obama has been telling us a lie since the beginning.

The so-called Medicine Cabinet Tax will take effect 1 January 2011.  This means you will no longer be able to use your health savings account (HSA), your flexible spending account (FSA), or your health reimbursement (HRA) pre-tax dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).  Are you getting the drift?  Obama has been telling you lies.

Also on 1 January 2011, a very ugly and cruel provision of Obamacare will take effect.  Under current law, parent of children with special needs can use FSA dollars to cover special needs education expenses, which can easily run over $12, 000 annually.  But once Barry’s Special Needs Kids Tax goes into effect, a cap will be imposed on flexible spending accounts of $2,500.  Are you seeing Barry’s lies yet?  How many thousands of special needs children are there in the U.S. that require special needs education?  And how many of their parents voted for Barry’s promises of Hope and Change?

Another provision of Obamacare to take place on 1 January 2011 is the HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike.  Barry will be increasing the additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an health savings account from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent.  But remember, he pledged families with incomes less than $250,000 we would not see any tax increases.  Mr. Obama, you are a liar.

Barry’s Medical Itemized Deductions Cap will go into effect on 1 January 2013.  As the law now stands, Currently, those facing unusually-high medical expenses are allowed a deduction if the total cost if the expenses reduces the filer’s income by 7.5%.  But this new provision of Obamacare imposes a threshold of 10%.  Ask yourself if this change of Barry’s will bring any hope to early retirees or those who are catastrophically ill.  More evidence of the lies Obama has been telling American citizens.

The Obamacare Individual Mandate Excise Tax will take effect 1 January 2014, which means anyone not purchasing ‘qualifying’ health insurance will have to pay a surtax on their income tax.  Have you finally sorted Obama is the liar?

Liberals, including our government-controlled media, have been howling for years about how Republicans were increasing spending and taxes, but they forget about how in both 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families.  Were you aware these will all expire on January 1, 2011?  Were you aware your income tax would be going up?  The lowest tax bracket will jump from ten to fifteen percent.  The top bracket will rise from thirty-five to thirty-nine point six percent.  How many of you are small business owners?  Two-thirds of all small businesses are taxed in this category?

The marriage tax penalty will then return from the first dollar.  Adoption tax credits and dependent care tax credits will be cut.  The child tax credit will be cut in half, from $1,000 to $500.  The Death Tax will return.  The current capital gains tax is fifteen percent.  Next year, that will rise to twenty percent.  But didn’t Barry Obama pledge to us that we would not see an increase in any of our taxes?

I think it’s easy to see the American public has been lied to by a man who’s eligibility to sit in the Executive Office is still being questioned.  How long before the rest of America wakes up and rises up against the injustices of the Obama administration?

I just love the way you word things Mike. You leave NO need to expound.
As usual, I agree with you wholeheartedly. :)

It’s likely a result of too many years in the pulpit. When you’re preaching, you cannot leave much wriggle room or parishioners will exploit it. ;)
