OK, as anyone who knows me will readily agree, when I’m upset about something, it’s usually not long before everyone in earshot will hear about it.
But, I’m usually not too shy about praising the good things that happen along every now and again.
And one of those good things I’ve recently discovered is Mama Bear’s Homemade Soaps.
This time of the year, I’m usually slathering as much lotion onto my hands, arms and legs as I can possibly get. My skin gets excessively dry in the winter months and I’ve just always assumed that was something I was meant to suffer.
Wrong!
I had seen mention made about Mama Bear and this really great soap she makes, so I searched out her Web site and looked over some of her products. (Be forewarned, she has a more than extensive product list!) She makes all kinds of bath & hand soaps, shaving soaps, body creams, aftershaves, etc. If you are looking for soap, you need to visit with the Mama Bear.
Being overwhelmed with so many options, I decided to e-mail Mama and explain my situation and ask her advice.
Mama sent answer, with a lot of what has proven to be extremely helpful advice. To the point that I’ve not used lotion on my arms or legs in the nearly two weeks I’ve been using her soap.
For years, I had blamed my soap’s lathering inability to lather on hard water, but I quickly learned that was not the case. The Mama Bear soaps all lather up just fine and the not-so-super ingredients she uses to produce her soaps do an excellent job of moisturizing my skin.
If you’re plagued with dry skin in the winter time, let me just share with you that the commercial soap you are using is likely the biggest culprit. Get rid of the brand-name soap that is drying out your skin and talk with Mama Bear to get some real soap that will provide you with relief.
When you finally decide to take my advice, be sure to tell Mama Bear we sent you.
