Wel­come!

I should prob­a­bly warn you that this site’s con­tent will likely chal­lenge you in many ways.  I am an ultra-conservative Con­sti­tu­tion­al­ist and not very shy about shar­ing those feel­ings with oth­ers.  I believe in the tenets upon which this coun­try was founded and I tend to chafe a bit when I watch this country’s elected offi­cials tram­pling on our Con­sti­tu­tion.  To make it quite clear, I have no issue with this country’s immi­gra­tion laws and I sup­port those who choose to become Amer­i­can cit­i­zens by due and legal process.  I do not sup­port ille­gal immi­gra­tion or ille­gal immi­grants.  Between that and the cel­e­bra­tion of my white-European ances­try, many peo­ple choose to con­sider me to be a racist.  I can live with that, so don’t bother call­ing me a racist as if it’s a bad thing.

Try­ing on a T-Bucket for size

I’ve spent over 45 years of my life try­ing to learn more about cars and how to make them run faster and look bet­ter.  I was for­tu­nate enough to spend over 20 years work­ing with a cou­ple of dif­fer­ent NHRA Com­pe­ti­tion Elim­i­na­tor drag race teams and since that time have been acquir­ing the bits and pieces to assem­ble a 1923 T-Bucket street rod.

I own and oper­ate sev­eral Web sites, which seem to do a bet­ter than aver­age job of keep­ing me off the streets and out of trou­ble.  I’ve been play­ing about with com­put­ers and online com­mu­ni­ties since 1981 and that recently led to a career change.  I now work from my home office as an inde­pen­dent con­trac­tor for a search engine opti­miza­tion com­pany in Indi­anapo­lis.  My accoun­tant likes to joke that I am as close to being retired as any­one can be whilst still employed.

There are gen­er­ally a hand­ful of com­put­ers run­ning around here at any given point in time and I have to admit all of them are run­ning a Linux oper­at­ing sys­tem, of one fla­vor or another.  I never want to feel as if I’m too old to learn new things and I’m always explor­ing new ways to do things with my computers.

After study­ing Qigong for the last year, I have finally man­aged to locate a fan­tas­tic Qigong instruc­tor and have found imme­di­ate and pos­i­tive results from the prac­tice.  I am really excited to have found a path lead­ing toward a calmer and more pos­i­tive state of mind, that has also helped me start deal­ing with some chronic pain issues.
